FABIO IS FEARLESS

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has said that both the Brazilian twins Fabio Da Silva and Rafael Da Silva are extremely fearless the challenges they put in. However, both these players have been spending a considerable amount of the season on the injury table and it is something Sir Alex Ferguson wants to avoid.

Due to their fearless challenges, Fabio Da Silva has been picking up a number of injuries along with his twin brother. He says that in order to become established in the Manchester United squad, both these players should learn to control themselves when it comes to challenges.

Fabio Da Silva is capable of playing both on the right back position and the left back position, while his twin brother Rafael Da Silva is capable of playing only in the right back position. Still, Rafael Da Silva has found himself picked by Sir Alex Ferguson more often than not due to the fact that Fabio Da Silva is facing competition from Patrice Evra at left back.

Sir Alex Ferguson has said that he expects Fabio Da Silva to become the permanent left back for Manchester United once Patrice Evra leaves the club. The French left back is coming to the end of his career. “They are a wee bit too optimistic in the challenges they make. They always put their foot in attacking-wise, they don’t see danger. Bryan Robson was that way. The two of them are terrific talents but you hope maturity eradicates all these things they have,” Sir Alex Ferguson said when asked about the number of injuries both these players were getting in recent times.

Rafael Da Silva is set to return to the first-team action for the match against QPR, which could see Manchester united draw level with Manchester city at the top of the table.
