FABIO MOVES TO QPR

The defender of Manchester United, Fabio da Silva will play for Queens Park Rangers on loan in the upcoming season. The manager of Manchester United, Sir Alex Ferguson, has confirmed this news. Ferguson said that Fabio is an enormously capable player and he would be back in the Manchester United squad in the next season. On being asked why Fabio has been placed on loan, Ferguson said that there are many experienced players in the Manchester United squad. So, it was almost certain that Fabio would not get many opportunities to feature for the team. But, if a talented player sits on the bench for too long, it affects his confidence. So, he has decided to place Fabio on loan so that he would get regular playing opportunities.

Fabio joined Manchester United in 2008. He represented Manchester United for the first time in a pre season friendly game against Peterborough United. In his very first match, he impressed one and all with his performance. But, he had to miss a number of matches in 2008-09 season due to shoulder injury. However, he came back in the second half of the season and played some matches. Despite giving impressive performances, Fabio has never been a regular member of the United’s first team. Fabio himself looked happy after being placed on a loan. He said that sitting on the bench could be quite frustrating at times. So, he is quite happy to join a club where he would get regular chances to play in the first team.

Fabio has struggled with the injuries a lot in his short career. In the last season, he had to leave the field in a match against CSKA Moscow due to an injury. On being asked about his fitness, Fabio said that he is completely fit at the moment. He has worked hard on his fitness in the off season and he is looking forward to playing for QPR.
