Fabio da Silva has revealed that he has a very good relationship with Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaerand that he gets naturally defensive in the face of criticisms aimed at the Norwegian. The Nantes defender talked about Solskjaerand the close bond they share in an exclusive interview with Wales Online.
Solskjaerbecame the Manchester United manager at the end of 2018 and he has had his fair share of criticisms till date. Fabio da Silva says the former Molde manager is the right man for the Old Trafford job despite the fact that he has not been able to win a major trophy during his time at the club. The Norwegian tactician replaced Jose Mourinho midway into the 2018/19 season on an interim capacity before he was confirmed as the permanent manager months later.
Manchester United manager Solskjaer has spent two full seasons at the club since replacing Mourinho without landing any trophy. Solskjaer led the Red Devils to third place and second place in his two full seasons at the Theatre of Dreams. Solskjaer and his players finished last season in second place behind champions Manchester City. Manchester United have not won any major trophy for four years and counting. The run nearly came to an end under Solskjaerin the Europa League final in May only for the team to lose to Villarreal on penalties.
