WORRIED ABOUT FORM

Manchester United defender Rafael Da Silva has said that the players are extremely worried about the poor form of the club this campaign. Manchester United had their first managerial change in 26 years after Sir Alex Ferguson decided to retire from management. David Moyes was appointed as his replacement and it seems that the players have not taken to his training methods. His tactics have also not produce the best results on the pitch because the United team after struggling to score goals for a regular basis. This combined with the defensive fragilities mean that the club find themselves in the ninth place with less than a few weeks to go before Christmas.

Manchester United lost back-to-back matches at Old Trafford after a long time, as both Everton and Newcastle were able to return with three points. Rafael Da Silva, who has become an important member in the right side of United’s midfield, says that the players are definitely not happy with the recent results. There was a lot of pressure on Moyes and it has only increased after these two matches. Prior to this run, United were looking half decent, but they are now in the same position as they were at the start of the season.

“Of course it hurts. As a United player I want to win every single game. We must work more and improve ourselves. We have been working in the same way. I think we have been unlucky some games, maybe that is why, since you lose one game you lose a bit of confidence. I think we will work the same way and you just have to have a bit of luck some games to try and win and get the confidence back,” said Rafael.

United face important matches against Hull City and West Ham during Christmas.
