Zaha’s Future Uncertain

There have been a lot of rumours surrounding the future of Wilfried Zaha at Manchester United. After being signed for £ 15 million from Crystal Palace in the summer, the England international found very little first-team opportunities at Old Trafford this season. It is partly believed that he had fallen out with manager David Moyes, who was not responsible for bringing him to the club. It was the responsibility of former manager Sir Alex Ferguson to have signed him in the first place. After a very frustrating first half to the season, Zaha was loaned out to Cardiff until the end of the season.

After having impressed in his loan spell at the club, Zaha is widely expected to return to Old Trafford in the summer. However, fresh rumours have suggested that Moyes will not be interested in keeping Zaha at United on a permanent basis. After having played with him closely at Cardiff, Manchester United defender Fabio Da Silva, who is also on a loan spell at the club, says that Zaha has all the qualities to become a successful player at Old Trafford. It has been a troubled season for the Red Devils and they are expected to make significant investments on players in the summer.

This may reduce the chances for Zaha making an impact at Old Trafford.

“He has the talent to make a breakthrough at Old Trafford. Wilfried’s a fantastic player. A fantastic footballer. I think he can go back to Manchester United next season, perform and do well,” said the defender, whose own future at the club is in doubt. Zaha consistently made more than 40 appearances in the last few seasons, but this campaign he has managed just 11 – combined United and Cardiff figures. He has also not scored any goals during this period.
