CARDIFF MOVE

The Brazilian player Fabio da Silva never seemed to be stable at Manchester United despite playing over 4 years with the current champions of the Premier League. He only made 22 appearances in all of his time spent at Old Trafford.

Fabio da Silva had to settle with a place on the sidelines for the majority of time as he watched Manchester United sign new players each season and most of them advancing through the main squad of the club while da Silva stayed as a backup option more than anything else.

On 2012, United decided to send him out on a loan deal to QPR where he enjoyed making 21 appearances for the side that is currently on the Championship league after being relegated from the Premier League.

When making his returning to Manchester United, the Brazilian made 3 appearances for the club led by David Moyes and ultimately was offloaded to Cardiff City on a permanent deal.

The 23 years old defender spoke about what it felt like to join his new club, Cardiff City.

“I’m very excited to be part of this and I’m looking forward to helping Cardiff City. I know this is the right move for me.”  Fabio said.

Cardiff City also managed to secure Wilfried Zaha on a loan a deal until the end of the current season as he made his way from Manchester United to the relegation threatened side Cardiff City.

Solskjaer praised the arrival of Zaha as he said: “He has pace, power, technical ability and goes past people. He will give us that extra change of tempo in the final third, where we really need it,” the Norwegian continued. He will bring that little final bit to find pockets of space and produce a bit of magic.”
