The QPR defender Fabio Da Silva has said that he cannot wait for the start of the West London Derby against Chelsea at Loftus Road. This is one of the toughest and fiercest encounters during the Premier league season. Last time around, QPR managed an unlikely 1-0 win over Chelsea. This time around, the club will be coming into the match as the European champions after having won the Champions League title for the first time in their history last season. For QPR, it is all about bringing to visit the numerous players to have brought in to the club.
Fabio Da Silva will be involved in his first West London Derby of his career because he recently moved to QPR on a season long loan deal. The Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson decided to give him some first-team opportunities, which were extremely sporadic at Old Trafford due to the form of Patrice Evra. As a result, he has moved to the London club on a loan deal till the end of the season. He is expected to substantially improve the squad in the defence. QPR have conceded nine goals in the first three matches of the new Premier league campaign.
“I know all about the rivalry between QPR and Chelsea. It is a big derby game and I am ready for it. We really want to win this game because we know what it means to our supporters to win this match. Matches like this have an extra edge. I have played at Loftus Road two times and I am really looking forward to this weekend because the atmosphere is going to be incredible. It is very nice here and things are getting better and better. We showed there that we are starting to get to know each other,” said the player.
